Pick up from hotel lobby and depart to one of Thailand's most walk-able cities. The journey starts at eastern side of Ping River which many old, solid timbers built houses over than 100 years and visit Gate Garaam Temple; structure has distinctly Chinese influence with reliefs of animals and dragons which almost look ready to pounce.
Next, walk across the Mae Ping River to visit Warorote Market, the biggest local Market in Chiang Mai which sells everything from clothes and textiles to fruits, herbs, flowers, vegetables, and even insects.
Continue to Saen Fang Temple, was built in the end of 14th century. The colorful chedi was impressive, mosaic-tiled that blends Burmese and Lanna styles.
Visit to Buppharam Temple, was built in the year 1497. The impressive library and shrine building which houses the White teak Buddha which dates from the 1600s, the biggest in Thailand,
Then walk along beautiful road to Thapae Gate; this eastern main entrance gate is still the main center of Chiang Mai's public city activities and festivals.
Visit to Phan On Temple, was built in the year 1501. The viharn is built on two floors with only the ground floor accessible. The entrance is guarded by a typical Burmese guardian lion and on the walls in stucco bas-relief are angel figures.
Visit to the old city area and visit to Phan Tao Temple, famous for its teak wooden chapel for lay people to pray-on and was one of the four monastic temples.
Continue to Chedi Luang Temple, was built in the end of 14th century. The great chedi was to remain the tallest structure in Chiang Mai and was once the home of the Emerald Buddha image, Thailand's most sacred religious relic.
Return to the hotel by Tuk-Tuk; Thailand unique local transportation.
