Pick up from your hotel lobby and depart to Doi Mae Salong, stopping on the way at an Akha Hill Tribe Village, known for the women’s elaborate headwear decorated with coins, shells, beads, feathers, and animal motifs, a tradition originating from China.

Continue to Santikhiri Village (Yunnan Chinese Community), home to tea plantations and a cooperative store selling homemade wines, medicinal herbs, and other locally grown products. Its ethnic Chinese residents descend from a KMT Nationalist Chinese army regiment that took refuge in Thailand nearly 50 years ago. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
