Chiang Rai White Temple, Blue Temple & Black House Tour
Half Day
Private Chiang Rai sightseeing with local guide and transport.
Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel lobby and depart to Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), designed by a celebrated national artist. Its distinctive white temple building, adorned with fragments of reflective glass, can be seen shimmering from afar.
Continue to Wat Huay Pla Kang, home to Thailand’s tallest statue of Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, standing 79 metres high, and the Nine-Story Pagoda, a contemporary structure roofed in Chinese style and adorned with dragons on every level.
Visit Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple), designed by a local Chiang Rai artist who once worked on the White Temple. Its striking blue temple building reflects a new philosophy of Buddhist art.
Conclude at the Black House (Baan Dam Museum), the work of a national artist celebrated for his striking sculptures crafted from horns, bones, and reptile skins, alongside traditional African sculptures, old boats, and Lanna-style woodcraft displayed across 32 mostly black-wood, Lanna-style pavilions. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
