Ethical Elephant Sanctuary & Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall Tour

Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel lobby and depart for the Hug Chang Elephant Care Center, via the Mae Taeng route, a sanctuary dedicated to providing a natural and ethical environment for Asian elephants while supporting conservation and local community livelihoods.

Upon arrival, change into traditional mahout clothing and begin the experience with an introduction to elephant history, behavior, and healthcare by experienced caretakers.

Continue with a hands-on activity preparing nutritious herbal sticky rice balls and supplementary food for the elephants. Then enjoy feeding the elephants with fruits and herbal treats while interacting closely with these gentle giants.

Next, participate in a Natural Herbal Soap Workshop, where you will help create herbal soap used for bathing the elephants. Then, enjoy observing or assisting them during their bath in the natural water.

Lunch is provided at a local restaurant.

Depart for Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall, a unique three-tiered waterfall in Sri Lanna National Park. The waterfall’s limestone-covered rocks create a natural non-slip surface, making it easy to climb. Enjoy the scenery, climb up and down the waterfall, and swim in the refreshing pools at the base. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
