Mae Sa Elephant Care & Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden Canopy Walkway
Half Day
Explore Mae Sa Elephant Care · Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden Canopy Walkway on a private half day program from Chiang Mai.
Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel lobby and depart for the Mae Sa Elephant Care Center, a sanctuary dedicated to providing a natural and nurturing environment for its elephants, with an emphasis on conservation and breeding efforts to help protect the declining population of Asian elephants in the wild.
Learn to prepare sticky rice mixed with herbs for the elephants while hearing about their history, healthcare, and behavior from knowledgeable caretakers. Enjoy quality time feeding them sticky rice balls and fruit, then walk alongside the elephants to the stream to observe, or join in, their refreshing bath.
Continue to Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, Thailand’s first botanical garden, a sprawling 2,500-acre haven for plant research and conservation. Walk among the treetops on the Canopy Walkway, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Explore Thailand’s largest Glasshouse Complex, home to over 700 plant species from tropical and subtropical regions, including the arboretum, rainforest, orchid nursery, fern collection, and a Thai medicinal plant garden. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
