Doi Suthep Morning Alms Giving & Wat Pha Lat Tour
Half Day
Explore Kruba Srivichai Statue · Wat Pha Lat · Wat Phra That Doi Suthep on a private half day program from Chiang Mai.
Itinerary
Early pick up from your hotel lobby and depart to the revered Kruba Srivichai Statue at the foot of Suthep Mountain. Experience the serene lifestyle of Chiang Mai’s Buddhists by participating in a Tak Bat (merit-making) ceremony, offering food and daily items to monks on their morning alms rounds.
Continue to Wat Pha Lat, a hidden jungle temple nestled amidst lush greenery. This serene sanctuary, often referred to as a “jungle retreat,” features tranquil temple grounds, a cascading waterfall, and stunning city views.
Proceed to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Northern Thailand’s most sacred temples, built in 1383. Perched 1,050 meters above sea level, this sacred site features a magnificent golden chedi enshrining holy relics of Lord Buddha. Enjoy panoramic views of Chiang Mai City and the Ping Valley from the summit of Suthep Mountain. Ascend the 306-step Naga staircase, or take a tram to the summit. Afterwards, return to your hotel.
